Google launches flight search service faster than its competitors.
Time:2011-09-14

NetEase news on September 14th, according to the New York Times, Google launched a flight search on Tuesday, competing directly with travel search engines such as Kayak, Orbitz and Microsoft's Bing. Since Google announced its purchase of ITA software last year, it is widely expected that Google will launch such a service. Although the acquisition went through a strict antitrust review, it was finally approved by the Ministry of justice in April of this year.
Google said its search results will not be affected by any payment factors, and search engines will directly guide passengers to the airline's own website to book flights. Google has said it wants to buy ITA to launch a new and open travel search. The service launched on Tuesday is not the complete product Google wants to release, but the first step in that direction. At present, it provides only the results of specific cities and economy class and round-trip flights in the United States.
Passengers can search for flights or visit google.com/flights on Google, and they will see airlines' flights, which are classified according to takeoff or arrival time, flight time, route, airline or price. Google says its results are fast, and in a preliminary test, the results can be displayed instantaneously, while other web sites have to wait for the site to collect information to see the results.
