Packing method of container cargo
Time:2014-11-13
According to the quantity and mode of containerized cargo containerized, it can be divided into two types: the whole box and the LCL.
(1) the whole box (Full Container Load, FCL). It means that the container will be checked by the container after the goods are loaded by itself. This situation is usually used when the cargo owner has enough supplies to load one or several full boxes. In addition to the large cargo owners who have their own containers, they usually hire a certain container to the carrier or the Container Leasing Co. After the empty box is transported to a factory or warehouse, under the supervision of the customs officers, the cargo owner puts the goods in the box, locks, seals the carrier and gets the receipt of the station. Finally, the bill of lading or the bill of shipment is exchanged with the receipt.
(2) Less Than Container Load (LCL). It means that the carrier (or agent) accepts the number of consignments consigned by the consignor, and then classifies them according to the nature and destination of the goods. Assemble the goods to the same destination and assemble them into a certain quantity. As a container with different shippers assembled together, they call it LCL. This situation is adopted when the number of consignors is insufficient to fill the whole box. The classification, sorting, centralization, packing (unpacking) and delivery of LCL are carried out at the carrier terminal container terminal or inland container transfer station.
